Lyocell
Lyocell
The Green Fiber of the 21st Century
A revolutionary regenerated cellulose fiber made from natural wood sources through environmentally friendly solvent spinning technology (NMMO process).
Cotton-like Comfort
Natural moisture absorption and breathability for all-day comfort
Silk-like Luster
Elegant natural sheen and exceptional drape characteristics
Polyester-like Strength
Superior durability with excellent wet strength properties
Why Choose Lyocell?
Lyocell offers a unique combination of superior performance and environmental sustainability
Cotton-like Comfort
- High Strength: Excellent wet and dry strength, far superior to cotton
- Breathable Comfort: Natural moisture absorption for dry, comfortable wear
- Luxurious Feel: Smooth, soft texture with excellent drape and natural luster
Environmental Sustainability
- Renewable Resources: Derived from sustainably managed forests (eucalyptus, pine)
- Closed-Loop Process: 99.7% solvent recovery rate with minimal wastewater discharge
- Biodegradable: Naturally decomposes at the end of its lifecycle
Unique Fibrillation Property
Lyocell fibers have a distinctive ability to fibrillate under controlled conditions, creating a unique “peach skin” effect with enhanced texture and depth.
Process Benefits:
- Creates unique textures and appearances
- Enhances fabric softness and comfort
- Allows for special finishing techniques
Controlled Fibrillation:
Through careful processing, manufacturers can control the degree of fibrillation to achieve specific fabric characteristics for different applications.
The Green Journey: From Pulp to Fiber
Discover Lyocell’s innovative and environmentally responsible manufacturing process
Raw Material Preparation
Selected natural wood pulp is carefully processed to remove impurities, ensuring the highest quality cellulose material for fiber production.
Dissolution
The purified cellulose is dissolved in an aqueous solution of N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide (NMMO), creating a homogeneous spinning dope.
Spinning
The cellulose solution is extruded through spinnerets using dry-jet wet spinning technology, where fibers are formed upon contact with a coagulation bath.
Regeneration and Recovery
After fiber formation, the NMMO solvent is efficiently recovered through filtration and purification processes, creating a closed-loop system with minimal environmental impact.
